Dried Witch Hazel Leaves (Hamamelis virginiana) can be used in herbal teas, cooking, infusions and DIY cosmetics. Is said to be helpful in the treatment of piles, for bruises and inflammatory swellings, sprains and strains, for diarrhoea, dysentery and mucous discharges.

• As an infusion it can be applied to acne, minor burns, or used as a gargle for sore throats and a mouthwash for bleeding gums
